Choose JPG, PNG or WebP for images; MP4, GIF or MP3 for videos. Lower the resolution if needed.

Conversion settings
- Images → JPG, PNG or WebP — Keep transparency with PNG or WebP. JPG fills transparent areas with white. PNG has no quality setting.
- WebM → MP4 — Choose MP4 for H.264 video and AAC audio at 128kbps. Quality settings affect the video only.
- MP4 → GIF — Choose how many seconds to convert from the start. Custom start times are not supported. Try 480p, 10fps and 5 seconds first.
- MP4 → MP3 — Requires a video with audio. Smaller file uses 128kbps, Balanced 192kbps and High quality 256kbps.

MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, M4V and AVI inputs are accepted, but codec support varies. Encrypted or damaged files cannot be processed. Read about containers and codecs ↗
Reducing file size
- MP4: Choose Smaller file quality with 720p or 480p. Already compressed files may become larger.
- GIF: Reduce duration and frame rate first. MP4 often produces smaller files than GIF for longer clips.
- Resolution: 720p means a maximum height of 720 pixels. Aspect ratio is preserved and smaller sources are not enlarged.
Frequently asked questions
Which images are not supported?
GIF, HEIC, AVIF and animated PNG/WebP inputs are not supported. Original metadata such as EXIF and location is not retained. Colors may vary with browser processing. Use images of up to 40 megapixels.
Are my files stored on a server?
No. Files are processed in browser memory without being uploaded. Loading the website and engine involves network requests to our hosting provider. See our Privacy for details.
Why is conversion slow or stalled?
Speed depends on your CPU and available memory. Close other demanding tabs or try a shorter file and lower resolution. Keep this tab active on mobile; switching apps may interrupt processing.
Can I set an exact output size?
Compression depends on quality and resolution, so an exact size is not guaranteed. An already compressed file may grow. Try Smaller file with 720p or 480p and compare the result.
Why is my GIF silent or MP3 conversion failing?
GIF does not support audio. MP3 extraction needs an audio track in the original video. Silent videos, unsupported codecs and damaged files may fail.
Which browsers can I use?
Use a current browser with WebAssembly and Web Worker support. Memory limits vary by device. Try a short video on a desktop first. Videos up to 1GB are accepted, but large files may fail, especially on mobile. A computer is recommended for large videos.
Is my original changed or the result saved automatically?
Your original is not modified. Results stay in browser memory until you download them. Download the result before removing the file, changing settings or leaving the page.
Can I convert a video that will not preview?
Your browser and FFmpeg support different codecs. A file may still convert even if it cannot preview. If conversion also fails, check the log and follow our contact instructions to report the error.
